Should I go outside?
Should I stay home?
Should I eat more?
Drink More?
What could I do right now?
I think I’ll call her...check in with him.
Take the dog out now?
Take the dog out… again?
What should we have for dinner?
Is the vaccine really coming?
Will it really work?
Maybe I should take a nap… that was exhausting!
The hourglass is an antiquated timing instrument consisting of two glass chambers connected vertically by a narrow passage which allows sand to trickle from the upper part to the lower by means of gravity.
The amount of sand determines the amount of time that passes as the chamber is emptied.
One could see the image of the sand being emptied in the hourglass as a visual metaphor for the limited duration of human life, and for the inevitability of change in the world as a whole.

Artist Statement: Combining found elements with those fashioned by my own hand, my work encompasses two- and three- dimensional collage as well as sculptural objects. Infused with a rich sense of history, the essence of my work lies in the age-old struggle between nature and the man-made industrial world.
Six Feet Apart or Six Feet Under (2020)
Watching (2019)
Time is an illusion created by the idea (also an illusion) that while something is moving, something may be staying still.
It is a relationship between the observer and the observed, taking place while negating all other possible observers and observations.
Time collapses when a past experience is brought to the present by a chance meeting, a smell, an image.
When one is in the midst (in the center) of an experience:
shaping a ceramic bowl on the wheel, playing a musical instrument with abandon, immersed in the reading of a book, or a conversation, caught in the physical completeness of motion as in carving turns in deep powder, being pushed toward shore by surf, lifted by the thermals while parasailing… in all of these there is no “time” only being.
Someone observing you in the doing or being may “experience” time, but you do not.
The Time Keepers (2019)
Seize the Moment,
Make Time for Friends,
Lose Track of Time,
Make Every Minute Count,
A Stitch In Time Saves Nine.
What exactly should we “make time” for?
The answer, which we must discover for ourselves, is to define what is important in our lives.
