Conditioning and Company Class:  Are cancelled for the month of January. First class back will be on February 4th with a workshop with Fran. Please be aware that you do have workshops, evaluations, and choreography showings (outlined below) scheduled for Saturdays in January.

Make-ups: Many of you still have numerous absences you need to make up for this semester. Please make sure you check the absence sheet located on the JRC desk in front of the make up forms to see what you still need to make up. Completed make-ups have been marked with a purple slash. Let me know if you have any questions/concerns.

Choreography Showings: Will take place Saturday, January 21st from 12-3:30pm. You will not have a warm up this day, the studio will be open at 11:00 for you to warm up and review choreography on your own. Only ND/NC Choreographers are required to attend this day, however, if you’d like to watch the showings, feel free to attend. Please see attached schedule for the presentation times.

ND/NC Auditions: Will take place Wednesday, January 25th from 6:30-8pm. All JRC members are required to attend. You are excused from any other classes during this time. Casting will be posted by February 1st, and rehearsals will begin Saturday, February 4th.

Guest Artist for ND/NC:  We are in the process of booking a guest artist to set a piece on JRC for NDNC. Thank you to those of you who responded to my email about absences in February.  The new dates for this are Feb 27-Mar 5 to better accommodate our dancers and the choreographer. Please let me know if you will be gone during that time.

JRC Evaluations: Will take place Saturday, January 28th. Please see attached schedule and let us know ASAP if you will be out of town on this day. Parents are asked to attend evaluations with their student. **Note that there has been some scheduling changes**

Summer Intensives: It’s time to begin thinking about where you will be studying this summer! We highly encourage all of you to experience a summer dance intensive, away from Jackson. A great place to start looking is Dance Magazine’s Summer Study Guide: http://dancemagazine.com/dance-resources/summer-study-guide-2016/ Most programs hold auditions in January and February!
