Pre-Professional Teen Intensive

This two-week intensive is designed for Intermediate through Advanced students who are serious about dance training. Students are strongly encouraged to attend the full intensive as lessons will build through both weeks. This is also a great opportunity for dancers to get back into dancing shape for the school year.

August 22 - September 1

WEEK 1: NOTE - There are no classes on Monday the 21st - Happy Eclipse!

Ballet and Repertory are taught by Jonathan Stafford, Ballet Master for New York City Ballet and faculty member of School of American Ballet.
Acting for Dancers is taught by OBIE- winning actor Bob Berky.
Choreography is taught by Choo-San Goh Award - winning choreographer Gina Patterson.

Additional Information:
The studio will be open at 9:00 am for warmup. It is strongly recommended that you warm up prior to the first class of the day to maximize your benefits from the intensive and to avoid injury.
Lunch breaks are 30 minutes, and snack / water breaks will be given throughout the day. Please bring healthy snacks and water bottles. We encourage students to remain at the Center during the day but if you must leave to get food, please be back in time to be fully ready for your next class.
All students are expected to show the utmost respect to our fantastic visiting and resident faculty, and to our space. Please represent yourself and Dancers’ Workshop with the highest integrity at all times.

Dress Code:
Any color leotard, pink or black tights. Preferably pink footed tights for ballet, pointe, and repertoire.

Hair in a clean bun for ballet and out of your face for modern.

Please bring socks you can dance in, ballet shoes, and pointe shoes if you are on pointe.

No junk. Warmups can be worn before and after class to keep warm, but not during class.

When leaving the DW floor, please wear your sweats or street clothes and shoes. A reminder that ballet and pointe shoes are meant for studio floors - not grass.
