Intro to Technique 2 - C (7 yrs)

Lindsay Larson

Originally from Parker, Colorado, Lindsay Rae began her intensive dance training at Colorado School of Dance. She holds her B.F.A in Dance Performance from the University of Wyoming. She is pursuing a career in Pilates fitness and education and is certified as a Stott Pilates Instructor, and continues her reformer certification through Balanced Body. In addition to performance and choreography Lindsay has been trained in the art of Stage Lighting Design and was recently the resident Master Electrician for the 60th season of Snowy Range Summer Theatre. Lindsay teaches Pilates at Dancers' Workshop.

Marissa Moeri

Marissa Moeri holds a B.A. from Skidmore College. While in college, she had the honor of working with acclaimed artists-in-residence Robert Battle and Jeanne Bresciani. Her studies took her to Greece where she performed with the Isadora Duncan International Institute in the reconstructed works of Isadora Duncan. From 2006-2010 she lived in Boston where she performed with SOKOLOW NOW!, Deborah Abel Dance Company, Kelley Donovan and Dancers, Danny Swain Dance Company, and as a guest with Weber Dance. She danced with Contemporary Dance Wyoming from 2010-2015. With the help of her amazing husband, Michael, she is a now taking on her most important role as Mom to Owen Brighton, born December 2015. After taking some time off, Marissa is excited to once again be dancing, teaching, and working the front desk at Dancers’ Workshop!

Babs Case

Babs Case is the Artistic and Executive Director as well as a youth program dance instructor at Dancers' Workshop.
 
Babs has performed, choreographed and taught modern dance throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, Canada and S. America. She attributes her multidisciplinary approach to dance to her professional affiliations with the Harry Partch Foundation and Company, Richard Landry of the Phillip Glass Ensemble, Lincoln Center Institute and Obie Award-winning actor Bob Berky. She was the founding Executive Artistic Director of the Center for the Arts in Stuart, FL for 12 years. Babs is a past recipient of National Endowment for the Arts funding and both the Florida and Wyoming Fellowship Awards for Choreography. In 1992, she was awarded in Indo-American Research Fulbright fellowship to study dance, theatre and visual arts in India. As an educator, Babs has taught at universities throughout the U.S. and offers multi-disciplinary residencies in schools and workshops for at-risk youth. In 1999 she moved to Wyoming and formed Wyoming’s first modern dance company, Contemporary Dance Wyoming. Her contributions were recognized in 2009 by receiving the Cultural Council of Jackson Hole Award for Creativity.

Michaela Ellingson

Michaela is a Jackson Hole native and Dancers’ Workshop alum. She received her BF from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, graduating magma cum laude and her MA from London Contemporary Dance School. She has danced with CDW and Hole Dance Films in Jackson, Edge Postgraduate Company, MCDC, Bittersuite and Flavour and Some in London and The Purchase Dance Company and JUNTOS Collective while in New York, as well as creating her own work along the way. She became certified to teach Pilates from the Art of Science and Contrology Full Apparatus Program in New York and has taught Pilates in various studios and fitness centers in London and Jackson. She has always loved to move and aims to inspire others to move as well.

Kate Kosharek

Kate Kosharek is the adult fitness & dance coordinator, the Pilates coordinator, and a youth program dance instructor at Dancers' Workshop.

Kate has been teaching, performing and choreographing at Dancers’ Workshop since 2006. She holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has over 10 years experience teaching movement to all ages. While living in Milwaukee, Kate was a member of Wild Space Dance Company, which sparked her passion for site-specific dance making. In 2008, she co-founded Hole Dance Films, which has created numerous dance films that have played in festivals across Europe and the U.S. Specializing in Pilates group and private training, Kate educates awareness of breath and alignment, emphasizing that a strong core is key to proper body functionality and injury prevention. As her own experience continues to expand, Kate strives to give her students the ability to develop a deep understanding of movement and their bodies.

Introduction to Technique 2, previously known as Pre-Ballet, will explore ballet and modern technique in a 60 minute class. The goals of this class are to build correct alignment, strengthen the core, learn and execute key vocabulary and skills in both ballet and modern technique. This class prepares students for Ballet and Modern Basics. This is a continuation of Introtech.
